Scientific and Technical Council of the University, chaired by the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Research, is the highest expert-advisory body of the University in formation and practical implementation of scientific, technical and research policy. The council provides recommendations to the Academic Council of the university. Its organizational work is carried out by the Science Department of the University. Main goals and objectives include discussion of research priorities of the University consistent with its vision and mission statement, selection of candidates to be nominated to academic ranks, promotions, awards, reception of the annual reports of heads of the University research institutions, labs, centers, establishment of various internal research and science related policies.
Council of Young Scientists is the University association formed by young researchers and scientists from all its existing disciplines to enhance a supportive medium to young scholars in their career development. Their activities are organized in contact with the Science Department and they report and provide recommendations to the Academic Council.
Main goals and objectives include
Representing the interests of young scientists in the Academic Council, in government bodies, public organizations and the media.
Monitoring the activities of young scientists of the University.
Coordination of the University research activities including conferences, seminars.
Providing assistance with research networking and collaboration.
Promotion of the young scientists in participation of various research conferences, internships, exchange activities, competitions, project grants.
Organization of cultural activities for the well-being of young scientists and their families.
