The Human Resources Department of the SDU is responsible for human resource management, including facilitating recruitment, development, and service, which is achieved through human resource planning, job analysis, recruitment, and selection. Other responsibilities include orientation and induction, training and development, performance appraisal, compensation and remuneration planning, motivation, welfare, health and safety and employee relations.

Personnel Documentation
Conducting personnel records management in accordance with the rules of the current legislation, implementing compliance with all established standards to prevent the university from being held accountable.
Adaptation of new employees
The process of introducing a new employee to work is mainly to familiarize the employee with the organization of work in the company, organizational culture, procedures, and also the values of the organization.
Organizing Team-buildings and events
Strengthening bonds between members of a group for the purpose of more efficiently achieving the group's goals. Team-buildings, events, activities can be as informal and casual as a shared meal, or as formally structured as a session led by a facilitator.
Training and Development
Hiring qualified employees is just one aspect of an HR department’s job. In order to retain talent and remain competitive, HR managers may also be responsible for launching employee development initiatives. This could entail additional on-the-job training, professional development programs, or educational opportunities that allow employees to grow and develop in their current roles — or prepare them for career advancement within the organization.
