Accreditation, certification and rankings

IAAR is an international institutional and specialized accreditation of higher and postgraduate, technical and vocational and additional education, scientific organizations and international schools. The main object of the rating research is the educational program (BA, MA, PhD levels) in educational areas, and the subject is quantitative and qualitative indicators according to the parameters of the rating indicators. IAAR is included in the European Quality Assurance Register EQAR and is a full member of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education ENQA. In 2015, SDU passed the initial international institutional accreditation, confirming that the university meets all international accreditation standards. In 2022, 29 educational training programs were accredited as part of the IAAR program accreditation. For 27 years, SDU has received worldwide recognition in the national and international educational services market and continues to strengthen its status as one of the best universities in Kazakhstan.

At the national and international levels, ASIIN is recognized as a leader in the accreditation processes of educational programs in engineering, natural sciences, mathematics, computer science, as well as in medicine and economics. ASIIN certified engineering degrees are recognized in the European Union, the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and other countries and their graduates are qualified to work as engineers in the aforementioned countries. International accreditation confirms the high quality of SDU University educational programs and their compliance with international standards.

In 2022, SDU University signed an agreement on the initial program accreditation of ACQUIN for the following programs: translation and two foreign languages (BA, MA)
Educational programs subject to accreditation belong to the field of pedagogy and evaluation is carried out by independent international and national experts. The availability of ACQUIN program accreditation complies with the “Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area” (ESG)

The leading organizations of the Swiss, Austrian and German industries established FIBAA in the fall of 1994 as an international foundation. From the very first day, the goal was to develop a rigorous assessment guide for quality assurance in higher education. The educational programs subject to accreditation relate to the field of management, economics, law or social sciences. FIBAA defines guidelines for the relevant qualification purpose of educational programs and providers of educational resources and creates international qualification commissions for the purpose of accreditation, certification and evaluation of both domestic and foreign educational programs and providers of educational resources. In 2022, an agreement was signed on the initial program accreditation for the educational programs economics, finance, marketing, digital marketing, applied law and international law.

ABET is a federation of 35 professional and technical member societies representing the fields of applied science, computing, engineering and engineering technologies.
SDU University participates in the accreditation process for two educational programs: computer science and information systems, and the presence of accreditation ensures that the SDU University program meets the quality standards of the profession for which this program prepares graduates. ABET accreditation is the world standard in the field of STEM education. Starting from engineering and computer engineering and ending with applied and natural sciences, the completion of an ABET accredited program provides the best opportunities to get a job in this field.

The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) is an internationally recognized professional accounting organization that offers ACCA certification to individuals who have successfully completed their qualification program. ACCA is respected and recognized worldwide, with more than 227,000 members and 544,000 students in more than 176 countries. ACCA certified specialists are in high demand in various sectors, including public practice, corporate finance, banking, consulting and public sector organizations. SDU participates in the accreditation process for educational programs – Finance, Accounting and Audit. The ACCA certification of SDU students opens the way to becoming a well-rounded specialist in accounting, offering worldwide recognition, career opportunities and a comprehensive set of skills that can benefit people in various sectors of the financial and accounting industry.

SDU University got Cisco program certification – a prestigious recognition in IT infrastructure and networking. This program certification gives SDU University students access to wide range of resources, cutting-edge training materials, best practices, access to Cisco’s Learning Partner Program, and participation in Cisco’s global network of educational institutions.

Atameken’s 2022 ranking evaluated 18 undergraduate educational programs. From them 9 EPs (Accounting and Auditing; Journalism (TV and Multimedia); Information Systems; International Relations; Finance; Digital Marketing; Mathematics (Science); International Law; Applied Law) took the leading positions in the ranking, and 4 EPs (Digital Marketing; Mathematics (Science); International Law; Applied Law) were in the top 5 of the rating.
In the ranking universities were evaluated according to 19 criteria, the main criteria are: employment rate, median salary, accreditation of educational programs, quality of teachers, relevance of programs.
