SDU Extension School at SDU University has set a goal to improve the quality of personnel in the field of secondary education in Kazakhstan by conducting advanced training courses for educational institutions throughout the country. The rapid development of distance and blended learning around the world has created the need to prepare teachers for the innovations of new pedagogical approaches: combining new teaching methods and digital skills. The center also set a goal to create a platform where teachers can improve their skills in teaching without interrupting the workflow or create their own author’s courses, thereby opening the way to online coaching.

SDU EXTENSION SCHOOL INVITES YOU TO THE SEMINAR

SDU Extension School offers professional development seminars for middle school educators on 2 relevant topics from September to October:

3-hour seminar “How to choose a relevant topic for a scientific project”.

The selection of the right topic for a scientific project, proof of its relevance, as well as common mistakes that were in scientific projects of the 2023-2024 academic year and their solutions will be discussed. As a result of the seminar, participants will learn how to set a topic for a scientific project and write a high-quality project in accordance with the requirements of the education sector of the new academic year.

Speaker of the seminar:

Yessenbekova Akerke
– Master of Multilingual Education at Nazarbayev University;
– Author of international articles on language contact;
– Worked as a researcher in a special research project at Nazarbayev University on CLIL;
– Author of the 80-hour course “School-Based Scientific Research”, approved by the Ministry of Education.

6-hour training seminar “From Theory to Practice: Effective 45 Minutes”.

During the 6-hour seminar-training for young specialists, middle school educators who have returned to professional activity and have undergone pedagogical retraining, the teaching methods necessary for a modern teacher and ways to simplify the work process with the help of artificial intelligence will be explained.

– Professor of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Humanities of the SDU University;
– Author of the 80-hour course “Tactics of Using Interactive Methods in Education”, approved by the Ministry of Education;
– An experienced speaker who has conducted seminars for several schools and institutions on modern teaching methods.

Gulzhaina Nurmanova:
– Associate Professor of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Humanities of the SDU University;
– Author of the 80-hour course “Digital Competence of a Teacher: Identification, Development and Results”, approved by the Ministry of Education;
– Author of several courses and projects on ICT, Artificial Intelligence.
