About
All businesses, including small and medium enterprises, are currently exposed to the 4th Industrial Revolution. The introduction of numerous payment platforms, digital currencies, applications for financial services and products, digital banks, machine learning, advancements in Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), and data analytics have revolutionised the way we live and conduct business operations and ultimately give greater control of finances.
The Digital Finance, Crypto Assets and Blockchain (DFCAB) research center at SDU University focuses on research activities analysing and exploring the latest innovations in digital finance, artificial intelligence, crypto assets, Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) reporting and the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals, big data and blockchain in various industry sectors.
Aim and objectives
- Research Excellence: Foster a culture of cutting-edge research in digital finance, crypto assets, and blockchain, by publishing peer-reviewed research papers in reputable journals.
- Academic Collaboration: Establish partnerships with other universities or research institutions to collaborate on joint research projects.
- Industry Engagement: Engage with industry stakeholders, including blockchain companies, fintech firms, and financial institutions, to facilitate knowledge transfer and applied research.
- Student Involvement: Launch a student mentorship program, enabling undergraduate and graduate students to participate in research projects and internships related to the center’s focus areas.
- Online Presence. Maintain a strong online presence through a dedicated website and social media channels.
- Grant Application. Actively seek grant funding and sponsorships to support ongoing research.
- Training and Workshop. Develop an ongoing curriculum or courses related to digital finance and blockchain for the university’s academic programs.
