Ardak Korzhinbayeva joined SDU University in Kazakhstan in 2009 as a lecturer of Economics Faculty. From 2012 to 2019 Ardak was senior lecturer of Economics Faculty. In 2019 she has been chosen as a teacher trainer of Business School and from 2021 she is a teaching and learning coordinator of Business School. Her research interests are strategic human resource management in education institutions.

Alisher Tleubayev joined the SDU University in Kazakhstan in 2014 as a lecturer of SDU Business School. In 2015, he was a vice-dean of SDU Business School on research. From 2017 to 2020, Alisher did a PhD in agricultural economics at Martin Luther University in Germany. Since 2020, he has been the director of Science Department at SDU. He is a fellow of CERGE-EI career integration program and his research interests include gender and agricultural economics.

Kairat Moldashev

Associate Professor

Kairat Moldashev is an associate professor and Vice Rector for Research at SDU University, Kazakhstan. His research is concentrated in two areas: (1) political economy of regionalisms and identity politics, (2) and studies in higher education. In the field of political economy of regionalisms Kairat has published articles and books chapters on regional integration in Journal of International Relations and Development, Palgrave and Routledge edited volumes. He is an expert in Cabar.Asia analytical platform and provides commentaries on political and economic issues to various local and regional media. In the field of higher education Kairat has published in Studies in Higher Education and other international and local peer reviewed journals. He is an author of the research methods book in Russian that is widely used as a coursebook in PhD programs in Kazakhstan. Kairat also conducts research methods seminars and workshops for PhD students, early career researchers and analysts in think tanks.

Bek Bazatbekov joined Kazakh-Turkish High School (now BIL) in Astana in 2014 as a math teacher, where he has also been a mathematics olympiad trainer. From 2016 to 2017, Bek worked as an underwriter in the company on foreign insurance “Kazakhinstrakh”, as a leading specialist. From 2017, for 3 years worked as expert in Career Development department in SDU University, after that changed to engineering faculty as social coordinator and lecturer. Now held the position of vice dean of Business School from 2023.

Chingis Rustemov




Chingis joined the SDU University in 2024 as a lecturer of macroeconomics, statistics, and mathematics of economics. He worked as an investment manager in insurance companies, as a data analyst in various enterprises, as a business intelligence developer in commercial banks, as a team lead of business intelligence developers in KPMG.
In his MSc diploma, he made contributions to enhancing macroeconomic models with time-varying parameters, especially solving a problem of near zero interest rates by introducing the sliding windows approach in these models. He wants to make further developments in building advanced economic models.

Yerzhan Syzdykov joined the SDU University in the Kazakhstan in 2015 as a lecturer for the bachelor level students: he had worked as a junior lecturer until 2018. From 2018 to 2019, Yerzhan was senior lecturer of the Business school in Management field. Since 2019, he has been working as a coordinator of management and economics programs. He is currently completing his PhD studies in University Putra Malaysia (UPM) in Malaysia.

Support the faculty (professors)

1. Support Research Internship Program. Faculty members develop academic curriculum and research at the University. Within the framework of this program SDU provides faculty members with the opportunities to do research abroad. Your donations will cover flight expenses, accommodation and monthly salary from 6 months up to 1 year. SDU also invites professors from abroad to share their knowledge and experience with local faculty and students.
2. Support “Zhas maman” Program. “Zhas maman” program is aimed at developing university human capital by selecting the best SDU graduates and helping them start their academic career as teaching assistants. Young specialists are encouraged to do PhD abroad and get rich research experience from prestigious universities. Teaching assistants are provided with scholarships and professional advise from the faculty.

SDU campus is a central place for students educational and recreational activities. University aims to renew its basic infrastructure by building new facilities and substantially renovating existing ones. This includes buildings, roads, utilities, grounds and landscaping, student housing, and information technology resources needed to fully support the University mission. «Болашақ» халықаралық стипендиясының екі дүркін иегері. 2011 жылы Англияның Newcastle университетінің магистратурасын Халықаралық мультимедиалық журналистика мамандығы бойынша бітірген. Ал 2021 жылдың наурыз айында Шотландияның Glasgow университетінде үш жылдан астам уақыт бойы жазған докторлық диссертациясын мерзімінен бұрын сәтті қорғап шықты. 1 айдан кейін оған Медиа және мәдени саясат мамандығы бойынша ресми түрде Философия докторы ғылыми атағы берілді. Dr Әсел негізі 1451 жылы қаланған университеттің Мәдени саясатты зерттеу орталығында (Centre for Cultural Policy Research) қызмет еткен. Аты әлемге әйгілі, nationalism ұғымының Ұлыбританияда негізін қалаушылардың бірі Эрнест Геллнерден тәлім алған Филип Слесинджердің шәкірті. Докторлық диссертациясы, «Қазақ киносы және ұлт: сыни талдау» тақырыбы, ұлт құрылысы (nation building)  тәсілімдемесі арқылы зерттелген (Kazakh cinema and the nation: a critical analysis – Enlighten: Theses ( Ғылыми еңбекте ол қазақ киносына британ әлеуметтанушы Энтони Смиттің энтосимволизм концепциясы бойынша талдау жасап, қазақ халқының ұлт болып қалыптасуына атажұрттық фильмдердің әсері қаншалықты деген сұраққа жан-жақты жауап беруге ұмтылады. 

Диссертацияның жаңалығы – бұл отандық Еуразия Халықаралық  кинофестивалін академиялық тұрғыдан алғаш рет зерттеп, ғылымның фильм фестивальдері (film festival studies) атты жаңа саласына EurIFF ұғымын тұңғыш рет енгізді (бұл турасында ағылшын тілді ғылымда бір де бір диссертацияны айтағанның өзінде,  ғылыми орта назар аударарлық мақала да жоқтың қасы). Сонымен қатар, осы саланы зерттеп жүрген әлем зерттеушілеріне қазақ киносын, Қазақстанның халықаралық фестивалін ғылыми еңбегі арқылы танымалдандырды.
