
ABOUT THE FACULTY
The Faculty of Law and Social Sciences is the leading educational and scientific legal institution in Kazakhstan. The scientists of the faculty are implementing a large-scale program of research work in various fields of legal science, making a significant contribution in improving Kazakhstan’s legislation, providing scientific advice to various state and international bodies on legal issues, and taking part in the development of draft laws.
The faculty includes well-known scientists – professors and associate professors, doctors and candidates of legal sciences, practicing lawyers from international and national law firms and including those with practical experience in the courts of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Faculty of Law and Social Sciences offers programs in five different areas – Law, International law, International Relations, Journalism and History. Our mission is to produce well-educated students and to improve the quality of education in Kazakhstan and Central Asian region through teaching and learning, research and the advancement of knowledge in Law, Media, İnternational Relations, History and other fields of social sciences.
Along with educating students, we try to connect practical skills with academic knowledge, support students’ startups and creative approaches in everything, make strong human connection and networking among teachers, students and other employees, develop critical-thinking and other core skills.

LAW
The Department was established in response to the modern challenges of the legal profession and market demands. The programs in Law department are aimed at training highly qualified lawyers with a strong base of theoretical knowledge and practical skills, mainly in the field of private law, as well as in other areas of law related to the legal support of the economy and business. Our graduates are able to show leadership qualities, but also to work in a team, professionally solving complex problems of national and international scale. During the training, students have the opportunity to participate in project, research and expert work in the field of national and international law. Law department is offering programs at the bachelor, master and PhD level.

SOCIAL SCIENCE
Department of Social Sciences offers bachelor degree programs in three different areas – International Relations, Journalism and History. Our mission and vision are based on instilling values that help make informed decisions, expand human resources and social equity and form civil society. Along with educating students, we try to connect practical skills with academic knowledge, support students’ startups and creative approaches in everything. We are also aimed to make strong human connection and networking among teachers, students and other employees, develop critical-thinking and other core skills to help every students have their own civil position in society. Moreover, we try to engage teacher and student researches and create an enabling environment for learning.

Research lab
To produce high quality content different media industries use latest technologies available alongside cooperating with open-minded, creative thinking, communicative individuals. Media Lab designed to accomplish this task with high score result. Lightening system, Chromakeying, latest editing softwares, HQ DSLR cameras are available and ready to serve creative minds.
This room provides best opportunities for crafting, newspaper & magazine layout design, logo production, animation basics and more. Our students work with applications of Adobe Collection under the guidance of expert designers. Alongside with being creative area for design thinking this place also used for scientific purposes in journalism field. Different research areas are covered to stimuli academic enrichment of our products made by our students.
We create innovative pro bono opportunities for students to gain unparalleled access to criminal and civil cases and provide vital assistance to clients who can’t fund legal representation and might otherwise be denied access to justice.
Our students work on real cases under the guidance of expert lawyers. They get access to the most rewarding and interesting pro bono casework imaginable. Our clients get free help and the benefit of the most enquiring minds, emergent legal talent and knowledge, supported by a permanent caseworker team recruited from the best and brightest students and graduates on our programs.
Crime laboratory, facility where analyses are performed on evidence generated by crimes or, sometimes, civil infractions. Crime laboratories can investigate physical, chemical, biological, or digital evidence and often employ specialists in a variety of disciplines, including behavioral forensic science, forensic pathology, forensic anthropology, crime-scene investigation, and ballistics.
The Institute provides scientific activities, conducts fundamental and applied research on the development of law in the information society, access to information and problems of intellectual property.
