SHECODES competition was held at the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences
SDU recently hosted a SheCodes competition for girls in the programming area. The event was organized by the ACM Women’s Lab to inspire and support female students of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences. More than 50 students participated in the competition and demonstrated their knowledge, programming and problem solving skills.
This competition was sponsored by Elefanto, a company that develops mobile applications, commercial websites, automation systems and much more. Seminars were also conducted, with speakers including SDU graduates Nargiza Siyabekova, a systems analyst at Home Credit Bank, and Moldir Andirbekova, who completed an internship at Google this summer. The speakers shared their experience and provided motivation for the participants.
The competition organized by ACM WOMAN lab was held at a high level, which increased the interest of young people in education.
