Important Notes
For students from Kazakhstani universities:
A student fee must be paid after approval:

– Academic differences must be covered separately, even if you are transferring with a state grant;
To retain your state educational grant:

– your grant must be non-targeted (from the general competition);
– approval from your current university is only required after SDU confirms your transfer;
When transferring within Kazakhstan:
– no need to submit original documents – SDU will request them from your current university;
you only need to provide:
– a stamped transcript;
– a transfer consent letter signed by the rector of your current university.
For students from foreign universities:
– Direct transfer is not allowed;
You must:
– be officially withdrawn from your current foreign university;
– submit all original academic documents;
– complete the reinstatement procedure at SDU as a new student;
– indicate “reinstatement after studying abroad” in your application.
National Test (UNT) Requirements
UNT is only required if:
– you are transferring from a non-pedagogical major to a pedagogical one;
– or from a creative/artistic major (e.g., journalism) to any other field.
If you haven’t taken the UNT this year, you may take it during the August testing session (August 10).
After the test, you may apply for internal quota places announced in advance by SDU for each program.
Please note: quota availability is limited and not guaranteed.
