Honesty hour
Recently, a lecture was held at our university as part of the “Honesty Hour” project aimed at combating corruption. The event, attended by SDU students and staff, as well as representatives of the local administration, explored ways to build a corruption-free society and address this issue within the education sector.
To improve the quality of education, SDU University became a member of the Academic Integrity League in 2018. The League annually evaluates the organization of the educational process in member universities, the results of students’ academic achievements, the quality and authenticity of published research papers, and the university’s adherence to the principles it has developed.
In 2021, under the regulations on “Academic Integrity” and “Academic Policy,” the Multidisciplinary Education Center introduced courses for university students, including “Fundamentals of Anti-Corruption Culture” and “Community Engagement and Value-Based Society.” These courses are taught in all university faculties to ensure academic integrity.
Moreover, starting in 2024, the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences will offer theoretical courses for the Public Administration and Law program:
- Legal Foundations of Countering Corruption
- Theory of Public Administration.
The commitment to integrity in the education system enhances the quality of education and research at the university, strengthens requirements, and leads to transparent and clear outcomes. We consistently work in this direction, striving to build a corruption-free society.
