SDU University membership in ASIIN Global University Network of Excellence (AGUNE) and participation in the opening ceremony
SDU University has been invited by the German Accreditation Agency for Study Programs in Engineering, Computer Science, Natural Sciences and Mathematics (ASIIN) to join and become one of the founding members of the ASIIN Global University Network of Excellence (AGUNE) alongside universities of Kazakhstan, Germany, Indonesia, China, Türkiye, Finland, Egypt, Serbia, Mexico, Georgia.
The goal of this academic network is to bring together universities globally, fostering a shared commitment to unwavering excellence in higher education. The objective is to collaborate in various aspects, including teaching, research, international exchange, and cutting-edge approaches to ensure quality assurance across tertiary education.
The online ‘AGUNE opening ceremony’ took place on January 25, 2024. All the founding members were welcomed by ASIIN director, Dr Iring Wasser and ASIIN Board of Directors Vice-President, Dr Christian-Andreas Schumann. The ceremony exhibited AGUNE’s initiatives, including an introduction to the AGUNE membership portal, methods for active participation, and outlined the upcoming steps. Additionally, there was an introduction to the ASIIN Academy.
From SDU University side, Dr. Andrey Bogdanchikov, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs gave a speech about the University.
SDU University is deeply engaged in this collaboration and envisions significant potential for enhancing the quality of student education, fostering faculty development, and providing opportunities for research and overall academic excellence.
