During his trip to the Almaty region, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, visited SDU University, where he familiarized himself with the University’s education and the scientific initiatives of our students.

In a conversation with young Professors, scientists, and students, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized the importance of integrating advanced approaches into the Education System.
“In our time, it is necessary to have a good understanding of technology. In my Address, I stated the need to transform Kazakhstan into a leading country with a developed IT sector. I believe that your university is making significant efforts to achieve this noble goal. I have great hope that you will study very well. You have worthy Professors who have studied abroad in the UK and other countries. We all have to work for the good of Kazakhstan. We have no other homeland but Kazakhstan. The country needs educated, active, and smart young people. Therefore, I place great hope in all of you. I wish you all success,” said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

Students from the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences presented the President with a car they had designed and built as part of the “Formula Student” engineering racing project.
