Cemil Turan joined the Suleyman Demirel University (SDU) in Kazakhstan in 2008 fall semester as a lecturer of Computer Engineering Faculty. He has worked as a senior lecturer
on Basic Electronics Course and completed his master degree on Mathematics in SDU in 2011. 2012-2016, he has been fully granted for PhD on Electrical & Computer Engineering in Mevlana Rumi University in Turkey. 2016-2021 he held various positions such as assistent professor-senior lecturer, social coordinator of CS department and graduate school coordinator of CS department. Currently he has been working as head of CS department with the title of SDU Associate Professor. His main research area is Adaptive Filtering in DSP and additionally he works with students on Computer Vision and Machine Learning as well.
