MISSION OF ENACTUS
To develop the entrepreneurial mindset of SDU students to unlock their potential, foster the
idea of a global citizen, and demonstrate assistance to others.
WHAT IS ENACTUS?
ENACTUS is a global organization that forms generations of student entrepreneurs, helping students discover their entrepreneurial spirit and develop the skills necessary for leadership in our constantly changing world. Enactus exists in 35 countries, implements more than 2,500 programs in colleges and universities, and positively impacts the lives of over 1.3 million people each year. The organization provides ambitious youth with the opportunity to realize their ideas in various industries and actively finances them, helping achieve the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Enactus Kazakhstan organizes numerous events for its members, such as business forums, seminars, workshops, and business camps.
Teams that have completed the training, implemented projects meeting Enactus criteria, and submitted mandatory reports on time are eligible to participate in the Enactus Kazakhstan National Competition.
Students present their projects at annual competitions, which are evaluated by business leaders. Specifically, they are assessed on how effectively they have applied business concepts to improve the quality and standard of living for those in need. The winners of these national competitions are then invited to participate in the Enactus World Cup.
ENACTUS PROJECTS
The Enactus SDU team began its active work in 2022, and during this time, many ideas have been implemented:
- Participated in the Business Collaboration Forum, which included an exhibition of youth business projects, ALUMNI HUB, a training session from KMF DEMEU, roundtable discussions with business experts and entrepreneurs, and students' contributions to the 17 SDGs of the United Nations.
- Held the Student Case Championship among SDU University students in collaboration with Ac Catering.
- Organized several student events within the business project framework of the Enactus SDU team.
Enactus SDU, like other teams in the organization, works on various entrepreneurial projects.
One of the main projects of the team at the moment is Qag-az, which involves recycling
paper waste in educational institutions into eco-friendly toilet paper and paper towels in collaboration with partner factories.
During the research and surveys conducted in educational institutions within the scope of this project, it was discovered that the lack of toilet paper is a common issue in many educational institutions. Furthermore, the problem of improper paper waste disposal was
identified, which contradicts the principles of environmental sustainability.
The Enactus SDU team developed a scheme for recycling paper waste. Special stands were
installed in educational institutions for the collection of paper waste.
Through a partnership with the organization "Ecoway," 90 kg of paper waste were collected
within the university. Afterward, the collected waste was sent for recycling and the production of finished products by the "Maolin" company in accordance with the agreed terms of collaboration.
A business system was subsequently implemented, which involved selling the finished products back to the raw material source. The stakeholders included offices/private educational institutions, drivers, the factory, and the Enactus SDU team. The value of the product increased by the fact that consumers create the products themselves, with logistics being the only cost for the implementation of the business project.
