Center for Health, Policy and Management (CHPM)
The center was established in 2020 with a mission to increase knowledge and provide expertise for health policy and management professionals, trainees, scholars, and decision-makers in the local, regional and global settings through training, research and consulting with emphasis on sustainable development.

To connect SDU-based expertise with local, regional and global community needs in high quality and efficient health services, enhanced well-being and public health.
OBJECTIVES
— Provide resources for SDU undergraduate and graduate students in health policy and management for their practice, training and research.
— Bring together evidence, know-how and novel ideas in public health and health care delivery.
— Strengthen innovation and technology in public health and healthcare delivery.

Activities
- On November 24, 2023 SDU Center for Health, Policy and Management delivered a showcasing presentation at the 3rd Health Managers’ Forum in Astana.
- On March 2, 2024 the Kazakhstani Association of Healthcare Managers held a webinar on the topic “Business Analytics in Healthcare: How Deep is the Rabbit Hole?” with the participation of Nurzhan Mukashev, Assistant Professor, Director of the Center for Health, Policy and Management at SDU University. The speaker spoke about the principles of knowledge management in healthcare organizations and gave examples of modern business analytics tools in companies.
- On March 28, 2024 Nurzhan Mukashev, Assistant Professor, Director of the Center for Health, Policy and Management at SDU performed a workshop on the topic «Synthesis of Evidence: Roadmap for Academic».
- On March 30, 2024 SDU Center for Health, Policy and Management delivered a webinar "Digital transformation in healthcare organizations"
- SDU Young Scholars Bootcamp workshop «Synthesis of Evidence: Roadmap for Academic» (June 2024).
