International conference in Hong kong
A major international conference titled “One Belt, One Road” was held in Hong Kong, jointly organized by the Faculty of Education and Humanities of SDU University, the I-WELL Center at The Education University of Hong Kong, and Sultan Idris Education University of Malaysia.
The conference featured several key sections:
- Artificial Intelligence in Special and Inclusive Education;
- Integration of Special Pedagogy with Pedagogy and Psychology;
- Global Perspectives on Inclusive Education.
Professors from Kazakhstan delivered presentations, representing SDU University, Nazarbayev University, Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, and Academician E.A. Buketov Karaganda University.
In addition, a memorandum was signed at SDU University to establish a Center for Social and Inclusive Education in partnership with The Education University of Hong Kong and the Institute for Special Needs and Inclusive Education.
The new Center aims to:
– support the social adaptation of students, especially those with special needs;
– foster positive relationships between families, schools, and students;
– prevent social orphanhood;
– provide professional support to social pedagogues and inclusive education specialists;
– raise public awareness and interest in inclusive education through pedagogical outreach.
This agreement is expected to pave the way for many new initiatives in the field of inclusive education and special pedagogy in Kazakhstan.
