On April 24–25, 2025, an intense academic competition unfolded among university students across the country. Hosted at SDU University, the XVII Republican Subject Olympiad brought together students from two different academic programs, demonstrating a high level of preparation and knowledge.

On April 24, the Olympiad for students of the “Philology (Kazakh Language)” educational program took place. The event began with a grand opening ceremony, followed by congratulatory and motivational speeches for participants and guests. Throughout the day, students competed across three stages, showcasing their deep understanding of Kazakh linguistics and literature.

According to the jury’s decision, the winning teams were:

• 🥇 1st Place – Al-Farabi Kazakh National University

• 🥈 2nd Place – L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, E.A. Buketov Karaganda University

• 🥉 3rd Place – Sh. Ualikhanov Kokshetau University, A. Baitursynuly Kostanay Regional University, M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University

On April 25, the XVII Republican Mathematics Olympiad was held for students of the “Mathematics Teacher Training” program. Students from 18 universities across Kazakhstan had the opportunity to test their mathematical knowledge and skills.

The individual results recognized the following top performers:

• 🥇 Edige Ramazan (K. Zhubanov Aktobe Regional University)

• 🥈 Dyusenov Daniyar (L.N. Gumilyov ENU), Alekseenko Vadim (A. Baitursynuly Kostanay Regional University)

• 🥉 Zhaksilik Renat (K. Zhubanov ARU), Kanapieva Karina, Makhmutzhanov Arnur (M.Kh. Dulati Taraz University)

In the team competition, the winners were:

• 🥇 1st Place – L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University

• 🥈 2nd Place – K. Zhubanov Aktobe Regional University

• 🥉 3rd Place – M.Kh. Dulati Taraz University

At the closing ceremonies, winners were awarded diplomas and letters of appreciation. All participants were highly praised for their knowledge and efforts.
