SDU Professor, renowned scientist Askar Dzhumadildaev, awarded the title of "Hero of Labor of Kazakhstan"
On the eve of Republic Day, by decree of the President, SDU professor and renowned scientist Askar Dzhumadildaev was awarded the title of “Hero of Labor of Kazakhstan” for his outstanding achievements in the development of national science, as well as his exceptional service in public activities, receiving the Gold Star and the “Otan” Order.
“Let the high distinction – the title of “Hero of Labor of Kazakhstan” – be awarded, and the special insignia – the Gold Star and the “Otan” Order – be presented,” President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed the document, issuing the order to implement the decree.
Currently, Askar Serkululy is lecturing students at the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences at SDU University. Since 2023, the renowned scientist has also served as the Vice President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a JSC under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
A distinguished mathematician, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, professor, and academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Askar Dzhumadildaev is a globally recognized scientist, not only in Kazakhstan but internationally. The academician has delivered lectures in many countries in North America and Europe.
His primary research focus is algebra and differential equations. He has made significant contributions to the study of Lie algebras and polynomial algebraic equations, earning high respect in the global scientific community. In 1988, he was awarded the title of Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, and in 1995, he was elected as an academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Dzhumadildaev’s works have been published in top international scientific journals, and his research is highly regarded by foreign mathematicians. His contributions represent fundamental discoveries in mathematics and serve as an example for young scientists. His mathematical achievements and public engagement have significantly impacted not only the development of science in Kazakhstan but also inspired the younger generation’s pursuit of knowledge.
It is worth noting that, for the first time in the country’s history, a mathematician has been awarded the title of “Hero of Labor of Kazakhstan.” We sincerely congratulate the SDU professor on this great achievement!
