A great event at the university: SDU celebrated the National Unity Day
In honor of the Holiday of the Unity of the Peoples of Kazakhstan, our university hosted the International Festival of Culture. The grand opening of the significant event began with a parade of students with the flag and a charity fair.
The event was attended by the representative of the UN Department of Global Communications Vlastimil Samek, representative of the Embassy of Indonesia in Kazakhstan Joenys Duana Sirait, Acting public affairs officer of the U.S. Consulate in Almaty Chad Kinnear, Deputy Consul General of Germany in Almaty Benedikt Locherer, Consul General of France in Almaty Fabrice Neveu and representatives of the embassies of China, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan.
To date, more than 160 representatives of other nationalities study at SDU University. Therefore, the educational institution plays an important role in the development of friendship. All the funds from the charity fair organized by our foreign students will go to the area affected by the floods. Any difficulties can be overcome by maintaining unity, not dividing religion and nation.
The festival ended with a festive concert. Talented students demonstrated unity by expressing unbreakable friendship through art.
