Step 1
Online Enrollment Application

Applicants must complete the online enrollment application through the admissions portal: Admissions Portal

• Fall Intake Application Deadline: 31.07.2026
• Spring Intake Application Deadline: 30.11.2026

A step-by-step tutorial and application guidelines are available on the platform.

To proceed with the application process, applicants are required to pay a Student Fee of 200 USD and upload the payment receipt to the admissions portal.

To complete the application, applicants must upload scanned copies of the following documents:

• Passport
• Residence Permit (if applicable)
• Diploma (School Certificate) & Transcript
• Letter of Recommendation*
• Motivational Letter*
• Electronic photo (3 × 4 cm)
• IELTS (min 5.5 points) or SDU Extension Center (min B1 level) Certificate (if available)
• Student Fee Receipt
• Any additional documents (such as ISPT certificate, achievements, supporting documents, etc.)

*Recommendation Letter — written by a teacher, employer, or academic representative to describe the applicant’s abilities, achievements, and potential.
*Motivational Letter — written by the applicant to explain their interest in the program, goals, and motivation for studying at SDU University.

Step 2
Placement Test & Online Interview

1. Placement Test (English Entrance Exam)*
Prospective students are expected to undertake a Placement Test and an interview in English. The Placement Test serves as an English Entrance Exam and requires successful completion before proceeding to the next step.
* Applicants who possess an English language certificate such as IELTS 5.5 (each section min 5.0) or above may provide a scanned copy of the certificate to waive the Placement Test requirement.

2. Online Interview with Speciality Coordinator
After completing the Placement Test, the speciality coordinator will contact the applicant to conduct an online interview. This interaction allows us to learn more about the applicant’s interests and academic objectives while assessing their suitability for the program.

Step 3
Acceptance Letter & Online Enrollment Confirmation

Upon successfully passing the Placement Test and interview, applicants will receive an Acceptance Letter confirming their admission to SDU University.

Original documents must be submitted to SDU by the following deadlines:

• Fall Intake: before 20.08.2026
• Spring Intake: before 20.12.2026

The Fall Semester begins in September and the Spring Semester begins in January.

Recognition (Nostrification) of Educational Documents

According to the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Order №600), all international students are required to complete the recognition (nostrification) procedure for their previous educational documents within the first semester of study.

SDU University will provide guidance and support regarding the nostrification process after enrollment.
