Rustem Karimov is a finance professional and Senior Lecturer at SDU University with over 12 years of combined academic and industry experience. He holds a Master of Science in Accounting, Finance, and Management from the University of Bristol (UK), earned through the prestigious Bolashak International Presidential Scholarship, and a Master’s degree in Accounting and Auditing from the University of International Business. At SDU, he teaches courses such as Corporate Finance, Financial Management, Financial Modelling and Finance in Project Management. His research interests include impression management in financial reporting, monetary policy, and corporate transparency, reflecting a strong commitment to ethical and evidence-based finance. Rustem has also led and advised numerous financial projects through his consulting firm, ABD Capital, contributing to the financial growth and strategic development of SMEs. His academic and professional achievements demonstrate a dedication to integrating research, practice, and teaching to promote sustainable and intelligent financial decision making.

Profile
My main scientific interests encompass finance, accounting, and auditing. My research focuses on analyzing modern financial management methods, improving accounting methodologies, and enhancing the effectiveness of internal and external audit. Through participation in university
academic projects, the improvement of educational programs, and collaboration with industry organizations, I have gained substantial institutional experience.
In addition to my teaching activities, I perform various academic responsibilities, contributing to the improvement of educational quality, supervising the research work of students and master’s degree candidates, and participating in the development of processes at the faculty level.
Through my research work, methodological activities, and professional initiatives, I strive to contribute to the advancement of science and education in the fields of finance, accounting, and
auditing. Between 2006 and 2025, I participated in several international scientific and practical conferences and published more than 70 scientific works on finance, accounting, and auditing
in international and national journals. In addition, several textbooks were published, including: “Salyk zhane salyk salu” (Taxation), “Salyk äkimshiligi” (Tax Administration), “Salyk
esebi” (Tax Accounting), “Salyk zhane salyk esebi” (Tax and Tax Accounting), and
“Nalohovyy uchet i otchetnost” (Tax Accounting and Reporting).

Dr. Ainur Abdrazakova serves as Head of the Economics and Business Department and
Associate Professor at SDU University. Her scholarship focuses on human capital development,
strategic HRM, and sustainable institutional transformation within higher education systems. She
brings over two decades of extensive international academic experience.
Throughout her career, Dr. Abdrazakova has held research, visiting scholar, and invited
academic positions across Europe, the United Kingdom, the United States, Türkiye, China, and
Kazakhstan. Her global academic background includes postdoctoral research at the University of
Huddersfield Business School; academic appointments at Florida State University, Middle East
Technical University, and the Silesian University in Opava; and participation in the Horizon
Europe MSCA Staff Exchange Project ORCA: Opening Research in Central Asia. She has
additionally delivered invited lectures and keynote talks at leading global universities, including
the University of Cambridge, Columbia University, and Indiana University.

Dr. Kamzabek specializes in competitive strategy, corporate strategy, resource allocation, and cognitive psychology. He earned his PhD from the University of Sydney under the supervision
of Professor Dan Lovallo and has worked as a research assistant to Professor Lovallo. Dr. Kamzabek is an active participant in international conferences, including the Strategic Management Society Conference, the British Academy of Management, and the Australian &
New Zealand Academy of Management. Currently, he teaches Statistics and Research Methods at SDU University and actively engages undergraduate students in a variety of research projects—ranging from national competitions to personal investigations.

Sanat is a Senior Lecturer in Leadership/Talent Management at the Oxford Brookes Business School. He got his bachelor degree in Management from the SDU University, then worked for Deloitte (Big-4 auditing firm) as an auditor. After that he did his Master’s degree in HRM at University of Leeds. His industry and academic experience led to doctoral research at University of Malaya, it is the oldest and highest-ranking Malaysian university according to two
international ranking agencies. After completing his PhD, he worked as an associate-research professor in HRM at the top-ranked Central Asian business schools. Sanat has also contributed in the leading and teaching post-graduate level (Master and PhD) courses such as ‘Research Methods for Business’, and ‘Quantitative Data Analyses’ and ‘Employee Engagement, Performance and Reward’.
