The aim of the Double Degree Educational Program “Foreign language: two foreign languages” is to prepare competitive, academically mobile, and socially responsible teachers possessing profound knowledge in linguistics, methodology of teaching the first and second foreign languages, and cultural studies; who are proficient in contemporary pedagogical, psychological-pedagogical, and methodological concepts; capable of effectively designing and implementing the educational process through communicative, activity-based, and intercultural approaches; able to integrate digital technologies, conduct pedagogical research, adhere to academic and professional ethical standards, and successfully operate in multicultural and international educational environments.
To demonstrate deep knowledge in linguistics, methodology of teaching the first (major) and second (minor) foreign languages, as well as in the cultural studies of the countries of the studied languages. |
To understand modern pedagogical, psycho-pedagogical, and methodological concepts underlying foreign language teaching. |
To apply effective strategies for teaching and learning the first (major) and second (minor) foreign languages using communicative, activity-based, and intercultural approaches. |
Plan, organize, and conduct lessons and extracurricular activities taking into account learners’ age-related, psychological, and cultural characteristics, as well as their individual educational needs, in accordance with the principles of inclusive education. |
To use modern digital and multimedia tools to enhance motivation and effectiveness in foreign language learning. |
To apply methods of educational research, analyze qualitative and quantitative data, and engage in reflective practice and analysis of colleagues’ teaching (including Lesson Study) to address professional tasks and support professional development. |
To possess the fundamentals of academic writing, prepare scientific papers properly, and observe the principles of academic integrity. |
To communicate in foreign languages in academic and professional contexts. |
Demonstrate intercultural awareness and a tolerant attitude when interacting with representatives of different cultures. |
To demonstrate responsibility, initiative, and readiness for continuous professional development and lifelong learning. |
To adhere to ethical principles, respect academic and professional ethics, and recognize the social significance of the teaching profession. |
Establish effective pedagogical interaction and collaboration with learners, parents (legal representatives), colleagues, and social partners to support the educational process and learners’ development. |
