Presentation of “Methods of Media Text Analysis” Held at the National Library
On October 2, the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan hosted the presentation of Methods of Media Text Analysis, a book by Yesengul Kapkyzy, journalist, media researcher, Candidate of Philological Sciences, and Associate Professor at SDU University.
The event was attended by Berik Sabdenaliyev, Dean of the School of Law, Social Sciences and Business at SDU University, as well as faculty members and researchers.
The roundtable discussion held as part of the presentation was moderated by Yesengul Kapkyzy’s former student, PhD and former Dean of the School of Law, Social Sciences and Business at SDU University, Madiyar Saudbayev. Researcher and doctoral student Gulzhan Kaiyrbekkyzy also took part in the discussion and highlighted the limited number of academic works in Kazakh dedicated to communication and media research methods.
The book focuses on key approaches to the study and analysis of media texts and contributes to the development of media research in the Kazakh language.
