At our university, the Journalism program follows a four-year curriculum. However, due to the Bologna system and the credit-based learning format, students also have the opportunity to complete their studies in just three years.
For students looking to gain professional experience, the “Beta Career” and “Beta Academy” programs are available. As part of the “Beta Career” program, fourth-year students undergo an internship during their first semester at media organizations, allowing them to immerse themselves in a professional environment. Moreover, there is a possibility for students to secure permanent positions at the companies where they intern. This program frees students from coursework for one semester, enabling them to focus entirely on their chosen field of journalism. As a result, students can kick-start their careers even before graduation.
The “Beta Academy” program allows selected students to gain hands-on experience as teaching assistants for one semester. This provides an opportunity for those interested in academia to develop professionally and potentially continue working at the university as young specialists.
