UNIVERSITY SENATE
The University Senate, administered by the Rector, is the governance body of the university that takes decisions on the strategic issues of the development of the organization consistent with its vision and mission. Main goals and objectives include Promotion of further development of the University. Discussion and approval of the University development strategy related to academic affairs. Creation of a supportive environment to students and academic staff in successful delivery of educational programs. Approval of the University structure. Creation and reorganization of academic units. Reception of the annual reports of the Rector and Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Research on academic activities and research outputs. Approval of faculty promotions and nomination of the academic staff for higher academic ranks, awards.
Providing recommendations for the University affiliated publications including scientific journals, textbooks, monographs. Discussion and approval of academic issues recommended by other University councils including Scientific and Technical Council, Educational and Methodological Council, and Council of Young Scientists. Approval of the research students’ supervisors and their dissertation or diploma titles. Consideration of various issues of the University that requires collegial decision.
