Dr. Orynbassar Tumenbayeva joined Suleyman Demirel University Business School as an Assistant Professor of Finance in August 2016. She previously held posts at Alma University, where she served as the Dean of the School of Economics and Services as well as Finance Director for the university. Before joining academia, Orynbassar worked over 25 years as a Finance Director, Chief Financial Officer for various holding companies involved in asset management and other activities, where she managed diversified portfolios. Orynbassar serves as a finance and tax consultant of leading firms in Kazakhstan. Her current areas of research include: fiscal and monetary policy, green growth, and green finance. In her spare time, she enjoys sports and travelling.
