Lyazzat Atymtayeva joined the Suleyman Demirel University (SDU) in Kazakhstan in 2018 as a head of quality assurance department and associate professor at computer engineering department of the Natural Science &Engineering Faculty. Before she has been working as senior lecturer of the informatics department at Tynyshpayev Kazakh Academy of Transport and Communication (1996-2002); as an associate professor of the informatics department at Al-Farabi Kazakh University (2003-2005) ; as a Head of Computer Engineering department & Full Professor at Kazakh British Technical University (2006-2015); as a Head of Computer Engineering department & Full Professor as well as a Director of the Distance Learning Department at Satbayev University (2016-2017). Since 2021 she has been selected to the T&R Senior Principal position in the information systems department at SDU. Her research interests lie in software engineering, project management , development of applications in mechanics and computer modelling, user interface design and artificial intelligence, data science analysis and expert systems in the information security management. She has SCOPUS Hirsch index 5, Google Scholar Hirsch index 9. In her spare time, Lyazzat enjoys music, sports , reading and travelling.
