Profile
Gulnara Kassymova joined the Suleyman Demirel University (SDU) in Kazakhstan in 2014 as an associate professor of the foreign languages department (TFL). Since the 2015 she took different positions: coordinator of bachelor, master and PhD programs in this department, from 2015-2016, she was a head of foreign language department, and from 2016 -2018 was a head of philology department at the Philology and Education Sciences Faculty (currently named as the Faculty of Education and Humanities). In 2019 she was appointed to the current position: associate professor, teacher& researcher. Her research interests lie in foreign language teaching and learning issues in higher education institutions, curriculum development, and intercultural communication research. In her free time Gulnara enjoys watching movies, reading books, and travelling.
