Halit Yilmaz joined the SDU University in Kazakhstan in 2006 as a general secreter (pro-rector) for 5 years until 2011 year. From 2011 to 2014, he was director of methodical center; dean of the Law and Social Science Faculty between 2014-17; head of department in 2018-19 academic year at the SDU. In 2020 he was appointed to this current position and studied as dean of "Science& Technology" faculty at Yesenov University for 2020-21 academic year in Aktau city. Between 2021-23, he conducted the social project named as "MUGALIM". Since 2023, he has been working as coordinator of Chemistry-Biology program, and an ascociate professor, and also BA and MA thesis supervisor on chemistry pedagogy degree programme since 2022. His research interests lie in chemistry education, STEM, and teacher education. In his spare time, he enjoys sports and reading.
