Aizhamal Akhayeva joined Suleyman Demirel University in 2011 as a specialist of International Relations Office (IRO). In 2016 she became a chief expert of this office. Since 2019 she worked as a Deputy Director of IRO. Aizhamal has refined and expanded her experiences in internationalisation of Higher Education in top universities of Kazakhstan since her graduation from the Bachelor’s and Master’s programs from Central Kazakhstan University in Karagandy, Kazakhstan. From 2020 to 2022 Aizhamal had an opportunity to study on prestigious Bolashak Scholarship Programme of Kazakhstan at the University of Bristol. She holds master's degree in Education (Policy and International Development). Her academic and administrative work in Higher Education is thoughtful and progressive, getting to the heart of respecting diverse viewpoints. She has experience working in such top universities as University of International Business (UIB), University of Aberdeen (UK), Coventry University Kazakhstan and Astana IT University. Her research interest is the Internationalisation of Kazakhstani Higher Education. Currently, as a Director of Quality Assurance Department at SDU University she is in charge of developing the quality assurance aspects such as international accreditaion, rankings, internal policies of SDU University.
