About
Development and promotion of scientific research in the field of Social and Inclusive Education in Kazakhstan and Central Asia, based on the experience of the Institute of Special Needs and Inclusive Education. Our team of researchers aims to train educators and develop high-quality courses based on interdisciplinary research. These include the history of Social and Inclusive Education in Kazakhstan and Central Asia, issues regarding the education and socialization of children with special needs, socio-pedagogical and psychological support, as well as social and mental health in education, among others.
Aims and objectives
- Promoting a Social and Inclusive Education system that ensures children’s right to quality education in a safe environment.
- Supporting the social adaptation of students (especially those with Special Educational Needs), fostering positive parent-school-student relationships, and preventing social orphanhood in educational institutions.
- Providing professional support and continuing professional development (CPD) for educators within educational organizations.
- Establishing partnerships and collaboration between the Center, educational institutions, and scientific research organizations.
- Conducting pedagogical outreach to build public understanding, support, and interest in social and inclusive education.
- Collaborating with Psychological-Medical-Pedagogical Commissions (PMPC), resource centers, and parents to implement social and inclusive education effectively.
- Actively participating in the development and amendment of regulatory documents within the field of social and inclusive education.

Dr Kamila Rollan holds a PhD in Education degree from the University of Cambridge. She serves as an independent consultant on accessibility and inclusion in educational and cultural environments. Her research focuses on inclusive education and leadership.

Project goal – to provide parents and caregivers of children with autism spectrum disorders with practical tools, advice, and strategies that not only help them understand the key aspects of ASD but also support the child and enhance their understanding of the child’s needs.
