About
The Interdisciplinary Research Center was established in December 2023 with the support of SDU University. Our center serves as a unique platform designed to unite all disciplines within the Multidisciplinary Education (MDE) framework to conduct collective scientific research.
In recent times, the concept of interdisciplinary connectivity has expanded significantly, making research based on this approach a highly relevant issue. Today, the research work of students, Master’s, and PhD candidates often simultaneously involves psycho-pedagogical, social, linguistic aspects, and digital technologies. Therefore, the interdisciplinary nature of research plays a vital role in enhancing the quality and efficiency of scientific outcomes.
Aim and objectives
1) Enhancing Pedagogical Education: Conduct research to improve the understanding of educational psychology and pedagogical theories to enhance the effectiveness of teaching and learning methods. The main goal is to contribute to research in the field of pedagogy
2) Improving Teaching Practices: Study, develop, and disseminate best practices in school and university programs, as well as distance learning programs
3) Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Strengthen collaboration between teachers, researchers, and specialists from various fields (psychology, neurology, technology, sociology, languages, etc.) to bring new perspectives to pedagogical research
4) Integration of Educational Technologies: Study the effective integration of educational technologies into teaching and learning, keeping pace with technological advancements and their implications for education
5) Assessment: Develop and improve methods for assessing educational programs with the aim of enhancing student motivation
6) Inclusive Education: Conduct research and implement inclusive practices that ensure equal access to education for all students, including those with disabilities, different cultural backgrounds, and learning styles
7) Community Engagement: Collaborate with schools, colleges, and local communities to address educational issues and provide necessary support
8) Dissemination of Research: Publish research results in peer-reviewed journals, enhance article citations, participate in conferences, seminars, webinars, and other informational and educational events
9) Securing Grants and Funding: Prepare projects for international, governmental, and internal grants to support sustainable research and educational initiatives
10) Student Involvement: Engage students of all levels in pedagogical research to foster the development of future educators and researchers
11) Ethical Issues: Develop ethical practices in pedagogical research, including issues related to student privacy, data security, and informed consent
12) Engagement with External Scholars: Strengthen ties with international universities Glasgow University and interdisciplinary research centers Cambridge University
13) Lifelong Learning: Establish principles of continuous education for educators
Team
Azat Kali
Head of the center
Kali Azat Bakytuly is the Coordinator of the educational program «6B01601 – History» at SDU University, Faculty of Pedagogy and Humanities, member of the «Association of Historians of Kazakhstan».
Since 2019, he has been working at SDU University. During this time, he was the coordinator of the Humanities at the MDE Center and won an internal project on «Methods and techniques for the effective interpretation of our history in English»
Adilkhan Akhmetov
Research Assistant
Lecturer at the Department of Pedagogy of Natural sciences under the “Zhas Maman” program. He completed a scientific internship in Chemical Sciences at Adam Mickiewicz University (Poznań, Poland) as part of an academic mobility program. He is a scholarship recipient of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
A former “Minister” of the Faculty of Education and Humanities and recipient of the “SDU Activist of the Year 2023” award. He is a member of the Kazakhstan National Federation of UNESCO Clubs. Additionally, he serves as a teacher and assistant to the Deputy Director of Academic Affairs at the “KursAnt” school.
Symbat Kuatbekova
Research Assistant
Research assistant at the Interdisciplinary Research Center of Suleyman Demirel University, and a student of “Physics-Informatics”. Recipient of the “Elbasy Medal”, published in the “Gifted Children” book and the “Kazakh” newspaper. Taught physics at Atyrau and Aktobe Girls’ Lyceums. Head of the Social Media Marketing department at “ZHASA Club”. Served as the personal assistant and translator to the CEO of FutureLearn at the “EdCrunchX” conference. Participated in the joint “Get Connected” project between SDU and KIMEP universities and received a certificate of appreciation.
