The SDU HR Department is a strategic partner of the university and a unit responsible for the development of human capital. Its primary goal is to enhance the potential of the SDU community through effective employee management, development, and support. All HR processes, from recruitment and onboarding to training, performance evaluation, and motivation systems, are implemented in an integrated and comprehensive manner. The SDU Scientific Library is one of the few university libraries in Kazakhstan that successfully implements the principle of open access. Library users can independently utilize the self-service system without assistance from a librarian. Readers may take a required book from the shelf, register it under their name through the electronic system, and borrow it for a specified period.
The library collection includes over 400,000 printed books and more than 200,000 electronic resources.
In addition, to support research activities, the library provides full access to various databases, including both subscription-based and open-access resources. SDU Library has introduced the “Subject Librarian” service, meaning that a dedicated librarian is assigned to each faculty to work closely with faculty members and students.
Furthermore, the SDU Scientific Library has agreements that provide access to scientific articles and publications from Taylor & Francis and Wiley, offering the university community broad access to global academic resources.
