Congratulations to Askar Zhumadildaev on His 70th Anniversary
The SDU University community extends its heartfelt congratulations to the distinguished scholar, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Askar Zhumadildaev on the occasion of his 70th anniversary.
Askar Zhumadildaev is a renowned scientist who has made a significant contribution to the development of national science and higher education. From 1980 to 1990, he worked as a junior, senior, and leading research fellow at the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics (now the Institute of Mathematics). Since 1990, he has headed the Algebra Laboratory of the Institute, leading fundamental scientific research.
Since 2007, Askar Zhumadildaev has been a Professor at the Department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at SDU University, where he has played a vital role in strengthening the university’s academic capacity, advancing high-quality education, and mentoring young scholars. His lectures and academic supervision have greatly contributed to fostering students’ analytical and critical thinking skills.
In addition to his academic career, Askar Zhumadildaev has been actively involved in public service as a member of the 12th Convocation of the Supreme Council of the Kazakh SSR and the Supreme Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He currently serves as Vice President of the National Academy of Sciences under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, working toward the strategic advancement of national science.
