Important visit of SDU University management to the eastern region
Recently, the leadership of SDU University went on a visit to Ust-Kamenogorsk, where they became acquainted with the best universities in the eastern region. Among the delegations headed by Rector Alimzhan Igenbayev were Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Maksat Kalybek, Dean of the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences Madiyar Saudbayev, Dean of the Faculty of Education and Humanities Zhainagul Duisebekova, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences Ramiz Akhmedov, Director of Multidisciplinary Center Asem Kuanyshbayeva, Head of the Rector’s Office Dias Zhumadilov.
During the visit the delegation visited the East Kazakhstan Technical University named after D. Serikbayev, the leading university in Kazakhstan. D. Serikbayev, the country’s leading institute of technical education, where they acquainted with the workshop “Lu Ban”, created on the initiative of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The center consists of two laboratories: “Innovative Automotive Design” and “Smart Automotive Technologies”.
In the workshop, students undergo practical training using innovative achievements.
Another of the prestigious universities of Ust-Kamenogorsk city is S. Amanzholov VCU. During the meeting the representatives of SDU University got acquainted with the laboratories of pedagogical and engineering directions of the university, educational centers. At the end of the visit the delegation also familiarized with the life of the largest world-class enterprise – Ulba Metallurgical Plant.
As a result of the visit to Ust-Kamenogorsk city, the management of SDU University signed a joint agreement with universities to strengthen collaborative scientific and academic work. We hope that the partnership between the universities will be mutually beneficial.
