On March 28, 2026, the Shymkent Alumni Meetup 2026 was held in the city of Shymkent, bringing together graduates of SDU University. The event was attended by alumni from various faculties as well as university representatives.

The meeting was attended by the Rector of SDU University, Әлімжан Игенбаев, who highlighted the university’s achievements in recent years.
