Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee the department’s academic, research, educational, and internationalization activities in line with the University’s strategy;
- Develop and monitor the implementation of development plans for academic programs (Educational Programs);
- Provide leadership to ensure high-quality delivery and continuous improvement of academic processes;
- Enhance the department’s research capacity and support the professional development of academic staff;
- Participate in the recruitment, appointment, evaluation, and professional development of faculty members;
- Coordinate activities related to accreditation, rankings, and quality assurance committees for academic programs;
- Organize the opening of new academic programs, as well as the revision or closure of existing programs;
- Manage departmental budget planning and monitor the effective and targeted use of allocated funds;
- Develop cooperation with employers, as well as local and international educational institutions;
- Organize and chair department meetings;
- Approve and monitor the implementation of schedules for classes, examinations, and assessments.
Requirements
- Higher or postgraduate education with an academic degree;
- At least 5 years of experience in academic and pedagogical work;
- At least 1 year of experience in administrative or managerial roles;
- English language proficiency at Intermediate (B1) level;
- Fluency in written and spoken Kazakh, Russian, and English;
- Strong managerial, organizational, and analytical skills;
- Proficiency in MS Office and university information systems;
- Full knowledge of the University’s development strategy and internal regulations.
Conditions
- Official employment in accordance with the Labor Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
