SDU University and Pacific Asian Society Hold an Official Meeting to Strengthen Cooperation
On January 15, 2026, SDU University hosted an official meeting with representatives of the Pacific Asian Society (PAS). The event was organized with the aim of expanding international cooperation and developing partnerships in the fields of education and scientific research.
SDU University was represented by the Dean of the School of Education and Humanities, Dr. Dana Moldabayeva, Director of the Extension Center Aisulu Gatiat, Director of the International Relations Department Abbas Bodaubekov, Head of the Language School Meirbek Bozanbay, as well as other university representatives.
The Pacific Asian Society delegation included the President of the organization, Kim Bumsoo, Vice Presidents Lee Ji-eun and Jeon Gi-yeong, advisors, members of the executive team, team leaders, and interpreters.
During the meeting, the parties discussed promising areas of academic and cultural cooperation and signed an agreement aimed at strengthening partnership relations. In addition, the guests were offered a guided tour of the SDU University campus, during which they visited the scientific library, the International Relations Office, the Technopark multimedia center, and the modern laboratories of the G-Block and AI-Block.
The program continued with an exhibition showcasing artworks created by young participants of the language camp organized as part of the collaboration between SDU University and the Pacific Asian Society. The DemAll Language Camp was held at SDU University from January 6 to 16, 2026. Over the course of two weeks, participants engaged in intensive Korean language studies, while volunteers from the Pacific Asian Society were introduced to the Kazakh language and local culture.
This meeting and the implementation of the DemAll Language Camp marked an important step in SDU University’s efforts to expand international cooperation and laid a solid foundation for the realization of future joint projects.
