League of Academic Integrity Summarizes Its Activities for the Second Half of 2025
In the second half of 2025, the League of Academic Integrity (LAI) held two meetings in accordance with the approved agenda and regulations. During the meetings, issues related to the admission of new educational organizations to the League were reviewed, and relevant decisions were made.
Following the voting, a majority of LAI members supported considering the admission of the following educational organizations to the League:
- Khalel Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University;
- Shakarim University (Non-Commercial Joint-Stock Company);
- International Education Corporation LLP;
- Sh. Yessenov Caspian University of Technologies and Engineering (Non-Commercial Joint-Stock Company).
In addition, the participants approved the establishment of a working group to update the guidelines on the use of artificial intelligence in academic activities. The working group will include designated representatives from each member organization of the League. Its key tasks will include updating regulatory and methodological approaches to the use of AI, systematizing practical cases of academic integrity violations involving AI, and developing recommendations aimed at strengthening the culture of academic integrity.
To ensure transparency and compliance with unified standards, the League of Academic Integrity will continue to conduct scheduled monitoring activities for newly admitted universities. These activities will involve assessing the implementation of academic integrity principles, analyzing internal procedures, and developing recommendations for their further improvement.
