Vice Minister of Science and Higher Education at SDU University
At the SDU University building, Vice Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Talgat Yeshenkulov met with residents of the Almaty Region to discuss the development of science and higher education.
During the meeting, the Vice Minister presented the priority areas of state policy in science and higher education, ongoing reforms, and new strategic initiatives. The development prospects of research institutions and universities in the Almaty Region were also discussed.
According to Talgat Yeshenkulov, a number of systemic measures are being implemented within the Concept for the Development of Higher Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2023–2029. In particular, to ensure equal and accessible education opportunities, the number of grants and scholarship amounts are being increased, the unified voluntary savings system “Keleshek” is being introduced, along with differentiated grants and preferential educational loans.
He noted that such partnerships contribute not only to training qualified and competitive specialists that meet regional needs but also to strengthening the academic and research potential of universities, enhancing technology transfer, and attracting scientific technologies and innovations.
During the meeting, citizens’ proposals and questions were heard, ensuring effective feedback on various sectoral issues.
