ASIIN international expert visit took place at SDU University
From October 7 to 9, 2025, SDU University hosted an expert visit by the Accreditation Agency for Degree Programs in Engineering, Informatics, Natural Sciences and Mathematics (ASIIN) as part of the international accreditation procedure.
ASIIN is a non-profit association founded in 1999 in Germany. Since its establishment, the agency has been providing expert support to universities in Germany and abroad in conducting program and institutional accreditation. Today, ASIIN is recognized as one of the leading national and international organizations for accrediting study programs in engineering, natural sciences, mathematics, and informatics.
During the visit, four bachelor’s degree programs of the School of Education and Humanities were evaluated: Mathematics, Chemistry–Biology, Physics, and Informatics.
The ASIIN expert panel, consisting of representatives from academia, employers, and students, conducted a comprehensive assessment of the content of the programs, curricula, and the university’s infrastructure.
This international expert visit by ASIIN marked an important stage of the accreditation process and contributes to the continuous development of SDU University’s quality assurance system, as well as to strengthening its international reputation.
