Call for Applications: Erasmus+ Academic Mobility Program
Dear students,
We are pleased to announce the opening of applications for the Erasmus+ academic mobility program for the Spring semester of the 2025–2026 academic year at Ghent University (Belgium).
Available places:
- Master’s students – 1 place
- PhD students – 1 place
Eligible fields of study:
Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, Biochemistry.
Important dates:
- Application deadline: October 11, 2025
- Selection date: October 13, 2025
Required documents:
- Proof of English proficiency (minimum B2 level) – IELTS, TOEFL, Duolingo, etc.;
- Official transcript (GPA not lower than 3.0) (available at the Student’s Service Center – ssc@sdu.edu.kz);
- Copy of valid international passport;
- CV in English;
- Motivation letter in English (with study/research objectives at Ghent University);
- Recommendation letter.
Additional documents:
- For Master’s students: completed and signed Learning Agreement (planned courses);
- For PhD students: Research plan (objectives, methodology, timeline);
- Support letter from SDU academic supervisor (optional).
Note: The host university may request additional documents.
Financial conditions:
- Monthly stipend – €900
- Travel grant – up to €1188
- Students with special needs – additional grant of €250/month (with supporting documents).
Priority will be given (in case of equal points) to:
- Orphaned students or those without parental care;
- Students with disabilities;
- Students from large families.
