Data Bootcamp Program Successfully Completed with Support from Freedom Holding Corp.
The Data Bootcamp program, implemented in partnership with Freedom Holding Corp., has officially concluded. The initiative brought together 30 students, 8 mentors (four from SDU faculty and four from Freedom Holding Inc.), and an organizing team to embark on an intensive journey — from learning the fundamentals of data analysis to presenting real-world projects at the final hackathon.
Throughout the program, participants completed three hands-on workshops on Data Analysis with Python, Machine Learning Basics, and Product Thinking for Analysts. Students reinforced theoretical knowledge through practical tasks and enhanced their skills under the guidance of mentors.
One of the highlights of the program was the open-format Data Meetup, where students engaged with industry professionals. Experts discussed current trends in data science and career development opportunities. The session offered valuable insights and motivation, helping participants shape their professional paths.
The final stage of the program was a hackathon, where students showcased both individual and team projects. These included data visualization tools, analytical solutions, and basic machine learning applications. Thanks to the support of Freedom Holding Inc., the program was executed at a high standard, providing participants with meaningful exposure to real-world industry environments.
While the Data Bootcamp has formally concluded, its outcomes continue to evolve — several projects are still in development, and participants are actively applying for internships and planning their next professional steps. SDU University remains committed to fostering impactful collaborations between academia and industry.
