Indian Ambassador at SDU University: Strengthening Academic Cooperation
On January 28, 2025, SDU University welcomed the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Kazakhstan, Dr. T.V. Nagendra Prasad. The diplomat’s visit was a significant event aimed at strengthening academic and research ties between Kazakhstan and India.
The Indian Ambassador met with the leadership of SDU University, including the rector, vice-rector, and representatives of the international department. During the discussion, they explored prospects for cooperation between SDU and Indian universities, including joint educational and research projects.
Dr. T.V. Nagendra Prasad also delivered a lecture to students in the Blue Hall (SDU Life), where he spoke about international relations and bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and India. The lecture was followed by a Q&A session.
The visit concluded with an informal lunch, where participants discussed cultural and academic connections between the two countries.
This visit highlighted the commitment of Kazakhstan and India to strengthening educational and scientific collaboration. The discussion of joint initiatives marked an important step in the development of international cooperation, providing SDU students with new opportunities for learning and research.
