SDU University: 10 achievements of 2024
The year 2024 was full of victories and accomplishments for SDU University. Let’s take a look at the major events of the year:
15 programs ranked in the TOP-10 of “Atameken” rating
15 academic programs of SDU University made it to the TOP-10 of the “Atameken” National Chamber of Entrepreneurs rating. The evaluation included 19 criteria, such as employment rate, average salary, speed of employment, program accreditation, and relevance of the specialty.Freedom Shapagat built a new academic block
At the beginning of the year, the foundation of a new academic building was laid with the support of Freedom Holding Corp. The modern facility, with an area of over 5,600 m², will soon be completed and will offer opportunities for students to explore AI-based technologies.QS Asia University Rankings 2025
SDU University improved its position in the prestigious QS Asia University Rankings 2025, rising from the 551–600 range to 461–470. The university is now among the top 500 in Asia and the top 30 in Central Asia.Hosting the largest fair of the year
The GRAND fair organized by SDU University attracted nearly 7,000 participants. The event raised 9,429,174 KZT, which was donated to the Shygula Public Fund to support regions affected by flooding.Grants for 2024–2026 scientific projects
Researchers at SDU won grants for scientific and technical projects for 2024–2026, including the “Young Scientist” competition, highlighting the high level of research at the university.246 applicants with scores above 130 joined SDU
