What do we do in terms of ethics?

Suleyman Demirel University is committed to hold highest ethical values to carry research. The aim of the Research Ethics Policy is to set out the general principles that underpin the ethical conduct of research. Researchers are expected to familiarise themselves with the university Research Ethics Policy and follow the rules and regulations to maintain good ethics practice in all aspects of their work. Human subjects research at the University is guided by the ethical principles set forth in the Belmont Report (Ethical Principles and Guidelines for the Protection of Human Subjects of Research), see


Ethics committee

The ethics committee consists of representatives of all disciplines. The primary role of the committee is to enhance quality ethical practice and protect the dignity, well-being and rights of research participants and researchers.

Notice: You have to go thorough approval process

University ethical review is required for:

  • Research involving human participation, human tissue or remains, personal data;
  • Any other types of research that potentially may raise ethical concerns such as risk of damage to the environment, or possible risk to lead to political or social tensions or sensitivities or may impact on cultural heritage.
