For first-year students, associate professor of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, candidate of philological sciences, well-known folklorist Saken Tileubayev gave a lecture on “Types and genre features of oratory”. During the lecture, the history of oratory, its social and educational significance, the socio-political activities of Kazakh orators were discussed, and students asked questions of interest to them.

As guests at the lecture were PhD in Philology N. Sagyndykov and E. Karibozov from KazNU, Dean of the Faculty of Education and Humanities of SDU Zh. Duysebekova, Head of the Department of “Language Education” A. Nogaybayeva, lecturer Zh. Mambetov and coordinator of Master’s and Doctoral studies A. Abiyr.

Also, during the meeting, among the guests and Zh. Duysebekova, the issue of strengthening relations between the two universities was discussed.
