About Event

Science Week is a dynamic celebration of knowledge, discovery, and innovation, designed to ignite curiosity and foster a passion for science. Its mission is to make science engaging, accessible, and inspiring for students, researchers, and the wider community.

A series of lectures, workshops, and competitions will provide participants with the opportunity to exchange ideas, explore cutting-edge research, and understand the real impact of science on our lives. Whether you are a young scientist, an aspiring researcher, or a  person interested in the world of science, this event is a great opportunity to expand your knowledge, connect with experts, and contribute to the advancement of science.

Competitions

RESEARCH POSTER COMPETITION

This competition provides an excellent platform to present your research findings, refine your communication skills, and engage with fellow students and faculty. The competition is divided into two categories: Mathematics and Computer Science, allowing participants to showcase their work in their respective fields. 

We encourage you to start preparing your posters early to ensure a high-quality and well-structured submission.

Requirements

SCIPITCH QUEST: 3-MINUTE DISCOVERIES

A series of 3-minute research pitches by our talented MSc and PhD students. This event provides a great opportunity to share your research in a clear and engaging way, enhancing your communication skills and making an impact in your field.The competition is divided into two categories: Mathematics and Computer Science 

Submit a 250-word abstract of your research along with your details. Don’t miss this chance to present your work and connect with fellow researchers.

Requirements

SCIENCE SPARKS VIDEO COMPETITION

Share your passion for science! We invite you  to create captivating videos showcasing the wonders of science and research.

Participants must create a video that promotes the significance of science, research, or their own scientific endeavors. Videos should be informative, creative, and inspiring.

Submission deadline: April 8, 2024  until 12:00 PM
The contest will take place on Instagram:  @engineering_sdu

 

MATH PROBLEM SOLVING

This contest is an excellent opportunity to showcase your mathematical prowess and enhance your intellect. An additional opportunity to solve an unresolved problem with an extended deadline.
