Suleyman Demirel University will hold classes for college teachers. This announcement was made by Rector Davronzhon Gaipov at the opening ceremony of ALLVET training laboratory.
«We are opening a training laboratory at our university as part of ALLVET Erasmus+ programme. Training for teachers of technical and vocational education is provided with the development of the college’s ECTS learning processes: curriculum design, definition of lesson needs, prediction of learning objectives and outcomes, assessment of topics. SDU teachers are providing training for college teachers as part of the project. I hope that the project will be productive in the future. The lab can also be used by university teachers. We need to take an active part in such international projects and make effective use of our opportunities. We are ready to support all ideas and projects of our staff», – said the rector.
According to Adilzhan Anay, director of SDU International Relations Office, only three universities in Kazakhstan have such laboratories.
«ALLVET training laboratory was only available at Narhoz and IITU. Now our university joined the list. There is a multimedia TV set and a handy touchpad for online lessons and meetings. In addition, the laptops in the lab keep in lockers that can be opened by a special code», – he explained.
Padlet and ZipGrade apps were presented at the event. Padlet’s timeline feature allows teachers to present syllabus tasks to students in a visual format. ZipGrade app allows teachers to quickly and easily check answers to tests. By scanning, it shows how many additional questions are correct with a percentage and offers analysis in PDF version.
