International experts conducted a series of online training sessions on the ERASMUS + project

      In the frame of the ERASMUS+ project “HE and VET alliance establishment according to Bologna Principals implementation via VET teachers’ capacity building” (ALLVET) a series of online training sessions for all project participants took place.
      From 9 to 13 November 2020, SEERC Research Center of CITY College, as well as the International Faculty of the University of Sheffield (Thessaloniki, Greece) and Edge Hill University (Ormskirk, UK) conducted an online training for teachers of vocational educational training (VET) and higher education (HE) on the topic “QA English for specific purposes”. This online training was designed to prepare Russian and Kazakhstan  teachers of VET and HE for the upcoming training in ECTS / Tuning methodology.
     Participants of the ALLVET project from our university exchanged their experience, and also participated in practical tasks. On the last day of the training, the trainees presented their courses in accordance with the training requirements for the Tuning methodology. One of the best works was the course of our teacher of the Faculty of Education and Humanities Sciences – Diar Nurmetov. Training was conducted by European coaches – Kelly Pasmatzi, Vicky Papachristou from SEERC, David Allan from Edge Hill University.
      From 23 to 25 November, the University of Deusto (Bilbao, Spain) conducted a training entitled “Pedagogical ECTS / Modular Tuning System” for teachers of VET and HE. Teachers of the consortium universities took part in a 3-day online- training session on the implementation of the Tuning methodology to the VET education. European speakers from Deusto University: Ivan Dyukarev, Hugo Sanjurjo Gonzalez, Aiser Altuna Garcia, Samiha Chemli and Marian Alaez presented the following topics: curriculum design for VET, the formulating competencies and learning outcomes, ECTS workload assigning,competence based teaching, learning and application of methods assessments, ensuring employability and mechanisms for quality assurance.
